Rental Supplement Program (RSP)

Bridging the gap between income and rent to help families secure safe, stable housing

What is RSP?

The Rental Supplement Program (RSP) is a New York State funded program for districts to provide rental assistance to individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness or are facing an imminent loss of housing.

Housing First Philosophy

RSP is rooted in the Housing First philosophy: a safe home is the foundation for health, education, and economic opportunity. Programs like RSP reduce homelessness, stabilize families, and strengthen communities—creating healthier, more resilient neighborhoods for all.
